It might really feel like Greengrass’ most traditional movie but there’s an power to the course here that’s not all the time obvious in a Western. It helps that it’s arguably the director’s most aesthetically putting movie, with attractive vistas captured by Darius Wolski and probably the greatest scores of the year from James Newton Howard. And it’s so great to see so many wonderful faces filling out the forged like Ray McKinnon, Elizabeth Marvel, and Bill Camp.

And with the second trailer lastly released, it is simple to see what all the thrill is about.
